Management Company Lead (Manager / Assistant Controller / Controller) About the Role Join a lean, high-performing team that's transforming the finance and accounting function at a leading venture capital firm. This role will spearhead the transition from a QuickBooks and Google Sheets-based system to a modern, scalable accounting and FP& A infrastructure. Ideal candidates have experience driving major accounting software implementations and efficiency-focused outsourcing initiatives. Familiarity with fund finance and management company operations is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities + Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, financial statements, and FP& A. + Prepare and manage consolidated budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. + Automate expense allocation processes across multiple entities. + Lead selection and implementation of new accounting and FP& A systems. + Improve AP/AR workflows and explore outsourcing solutions for efficiency. + Collaborate cross-functionally and manage competing priorities with a commercial mindset. What We're Looking For + 5-10+ years of accounting experience, ideally within alternative investments or related sectors. + CPA or equivalent certification preferred. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting expertise. + Demonstrated success in system implementation and process improvement initiatives. + Excellent communication and organizational skills.
