Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Modesto, California. In this role, you will handle essential accounting functions, including managing payables and receivables, ensuring accurate journal entries, and coordinating financial records. Responsibilities: - Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments. - Manage accounts receivable functions by tracking payments and reconciling discrepancies. - Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. - Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and organize financial data efficiently. - Assist in monthly and annual financial reporting processes by providing accurate data. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and resolve any issues. - Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies. - Support audits and reviews by providing necessary documentation and insights. - Identify opportunities to improve workflows related to accounting functions. - Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial records and transactions.
