Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck/Forklift Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement repairs
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
- Repair and replace parts as needed, ensuring equipment is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules and repair logs
- Work collaboratively with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a forklift mechanic or similar role
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Certification in forklift repair (preferred) or the ability to obtain
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
