**Description** **COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS** + $32.50 Per Hour- Paid Weekly (Reviewed Annually). + Wellmark BC/BS Medical Insurance w RX Plan (*commencing 1st of month after 30 days of employment) Single $ 69.30 MONTHLY. Family $152.25 MONTHLY. + Dental Insurance (ZERO COST w/ Medical Insurance Participant) + 401k (After 90 Days of Employment) + Vacation - One week (40 hours) after successful completion of one (1) year of service. + Paid Holidays - After completion of a NINETY (90) day probationary period. + Company Provided Uniforms + Annual Boot Allowance + Annual Tool Allowance **This position is based in our Kansas City, KS. facility.** **Tractor and trailer (reefer) Mechanic with extensive diesel experience. Performs numerous PM tasks and all other duties as assigned. Must have at least 3+ years of direct experience; however, the Company will take into consideration recent graduates of accredited, secondary education from a technical college.** This is a full-time position. Our team performs COMPLETE maintenance services for our fleet of over 30 trucks (90% diesel) and over 30 refrigerated trailers. Must have a current driver's license - our Mechanics are REQUIRED (or acquire within a 90 day period) to have a Class A CDL with the ability to drive manual transmission - we will assist you with training. **JOB REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWED:** + Extensive knowledge of diesel motors and all systems (powertrain, electrical, suspension, exhaust, body work, tires, etc.) and be able to properly diagnose, repair and assist our fleet drivers. + Must be able to successfully perform scheduled preventive maintenance on our fleet and document accordingly. + Strong HVAC knowledge- must have CFC certification. + Knowledge of DOT regulations. + Must have formal training, certifications and experience. + Must possess your own basic hand tools. Many specialized tools available for use in shop. + Computer skills and the ability to accurately perform paperwork and relevant documentation regarding repairs. + Must be able to successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment testing which includes the following: DOT Clearinghouse, Background Check, Pre-Employment Drug Test, Physical Capacity Test, Pre-Employment Medical Exam (must be able to maintain DOT medical card). + Must be a team player and conduct themselves in a professional manner that is consistent with all AE Dairy company policies. + Must successfully complete ninety (90) day probationary period (based upon attendance, performance, adherence to company policy and needs of business). **Qualifications** **Behaviors** **Preferred** + **Functional Expert:** Considered a thought leader on a subject + **Detail Oriented:** Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well **Motivations** **Preferred** + **Self-Starter:** Inspired to perform without outside help **Education** **Required** + High School or better **Licenses & Certifications** **Preferred** + CDL Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
