Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant, preferably located in Montana and with the Montana Independent Practice Endorsement, to join our telemedicine practice team on a locum tenens basis for three months. This will be to cover a team member during her maturnity leave. We are also looking for an additional long-term team member and this position may therefore evolve past the initial locums basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in treating substance use disorders and in chronic pain management.

We provide private-practice quality of approach and continunity of care. This is NOT a high-volume, quick visit, telemedicine practice. This position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, a commitment to improving patient outcomes and, perhaps, a desire for a long-term comittment to being a member of our team. A board-certified Internal Medicine physician is part of the team and is available for teaching and back-up.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with a substance use disorder or chronic pain to determine their health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based those assessments.
  • Utilize EHR for effective medical documentation and management of medical records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
