Job Description

Join our second-generation family-owned company as a full-time Outside Automotive Mechanic / Dismantler . In this role, you will disassemble vehicle components outside in our yard, carefully removing major components such as vehicle suspension, axles, differentials, doors, hoods and decklids maintaining high part quality for resale. While mechanical aptitude and general automotive knowledge is beneficial, we value a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn on the job above all else.

Responsibilities

• Remove major drive line components such as differentials, front and rear axles, frames, and leaf springs
• Remove major auto body collision replacement parts including headlights, hoods, fenders, and doors
• Inspect components to ensure they are of high quality for resale
• Learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities on the job
• Maintain a strong work attendance record

Qualifications

• Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
• General automotive knowledge (preferred, not required)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Eagerness to learn and adapt

Compensation

Employees in this position begin their role earning an hourly $20-$23 training rate (60 day maximum ) and then they transition to a pay-per-part commission plan , with earning capacity from $28-$30/hour based on performance. Plan specifics will be discussed in depth during the interview process.
