Join Our Team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN)!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to a culturally diverse veteran patient population.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age-related needs of the adult and geriatric population.
• Perform patient assessment and provide appropriate care based on sound theoretical and technical basis.
• Use sound clinical judgment in ensuring the delivery of care to patients.
• Recognize and understand arrhythmia significance, and initiate appropriate nursing measures.
• Organize care delivery in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to promote continuity and accountability for patient care.
• Ensure documentation is informative, complete, accurate, consistent, concise, and timely.
• Interpret and assure compliance with policies and procedures of VHA Directives and Handbooks, OIG requirements, and other accrediting bodies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by ACEN or CCNE, or equivalent foreign nursing education.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
• Med-Surg experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
