About the Job

Vista Charleston is seeking to hire experienced Logistics Freight Brokers to join our Brokerage Team in our Glen Ellyn, IL office. For those brokers who currently manage their own books and aren't happy with their current compensation or are looking for a new Brokerage to better support their book, we offer up to 40% commissions to Brokers who have active and transferable accounts. We want to help you grow your book of business, provide unlimited support, and pay you what you deserve! For previous Freight Brokers, Freight forwarders and Agents, we can offer a competitive compensation and support as you jump back into Third Party Logistics.

• Work from anywhere - Those with their own accounts have the option to work remotely from anywhere in the US! However, we prefer our Brokers work in office.
• Employment is 1099, which grants autonomy and allows the company to offer the best commission rates in the industry. W2 employment can be negotiated.

What you’ll do

• Manage and grow your current or previous book of business
• Leverage your sales and logistics skills to broaden your footprint and secure new business
• Actively Prospect across the US, Mexico and Canada to forge new relationships, manage a robust sales pipeline, influence decision makers, and close deals.
• Actively and professionally oversee the booking, management and success of your freight shipments from A-Z. (We can also offer support for larger books who need support for load coverage)
• Research and dive into shipping trends and market shifts to best advise client
• Serve as a trusted advisor and logistics expert, guiding clients by helping resolve issues in a timely manner, securing great rates, and seeing each load to the finish line.
• Ensure clear and timely communication both internally and externally

Requirements

• U.S citizen or authorized to work in the U.S
• Thorough understanding and hands on experience in Third Party Logistics
• Preferably located in or near Glen Ellyn, IL/ Chicago area
• Advanced interpersonal skills, organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics
• Persuasive in negotiations, ability to effectively close deals
• Bachelors degree preferred but not required
• A proven track record in sales is a must
• Ability to work full-time, and weekends as needed. (We have after hours teams in place)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
