Gastroenterology (GI) / Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)- Travel Position Location: Berkeley, CA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10 Days Pay: $2510/week Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total. (You will receive $2,500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology (GI) / Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in complex gastroenterology studies, specifically ERCP cases. The RN utilizes the nursing process to provide comprehensive, cost-effective patient care from admission to discharge within the procedural setting. This role demands strong critical thinking, accountability for care management, and effective collaboration with the medical team. Key Responsibilities:

• Provides specialized nursing care during complex procedures, with required experience in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography).
• Responsible and accountable for the overall management of nursing care, ensuring competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care.
• Conducts initial and ongoing assessments (biophysical, psychosocial, discharge factors) and develops/modifies the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the physician and family.
• Administers treatments and medications and performs nursing skills in a timely manner.
• Serves as a liaison between nursing and medical staff and coordinates the involvement of all health team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Sets priorities, initiates, and directs emergency interventions in a calm, efficient, and competent manner.
• Assures accurate and timely analysis, input, and integration of patient acuity levels and comprehensive documentation of the plan of care and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of California (CA RN License required).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA required, in hand at submission).
• Minimum 2+ years of recent RN experience is REQUIRED. Minimum 6 months of travel experience is REQUIRED.
• Must have a strong background in complex gastroenterology studies such as ERCP cases.
• Epic experience is preferred.
• COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
