Requirements

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited radiologic technology program. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT certification in CT required and New Mexico State licenses required. New hires will be required to have ARRT certified in CT within 6 months of being hired if they have attended an accredited CT program. BLS certification issued through American Heart Association is required within one month of hire date. IV certification preferred. SKILLS:

* Thorough knowledge of associated radiographic equipment * Knowledge of advanced cross sectional anatomy and physiology * Knowledge of radiographic positioning * Knowledge and understanding of Medical terminology * Basic computer skills * Must be proficient in starting IV's.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum one-year radiographic experience required and 1 year CT experience preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Director, Radiology Manager, Radiology Clinical Supervisor, and CT Charge Technologist. ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogen C Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 pounds on a regular basis.
