Pay Rate: $25 - $29/hr
Schedule: Monday Friday | 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
Travel: Occasional travel for onsite installations
Job Overview
Our client is a custom fabrication company specializing in the design and build of trade show exhibits, museums, visitor centers, corporate environments, and portable displays. All projects are 100% custom-designed and fabricated to meet unique client requirements.
They are seeking experienced Cabinet Makers / Furniture Makers / Millworkers to join their Fabrication Team. This role involves building custom cabinets and furniture from scratch in a professional shop environment. This is not a furniture assembly or residential carpentry position.
Key Responsibilities
- Build custom cabinets and furniture from scratch based on detailed shop drawings
- Read, interpret, and execute fabrication and project drawings
- Independently plan and layout work according to specifications
- Safely operate shop equipment, including:
- Table Saw
- Radial Arm Saw
- Jointer
- Work with hardwoods, laminates, and plywood
- Deliver high-quality, detail-oriented finished pieces
- Collaborate with team members to solve fabrication challenges
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Assist with onsite installations and artifact mounting when required
- Travel periodically to client sites for installation support
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional fabrication or woodworking shop
- Proven experience in custom cabinet making or furniture making (from scratch)
- Strong ability to read and work from detailed drawings
- Excellent planning and layout skills
- Hands-on experience with shop tools and machinery
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, solutions-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building artifact mounts
- Experience with artifact installation
- Background in fine carpentry or high-end custom fabrication
