Job Title: Accounting, Entry Level – Small CPA Firm

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the accounting field? Barry Gould, CPA, a small, well-established CPA firm located in Stamford, CT, is looking for a motivated Accountant to join our team. Whether you're just starting your accounting journey or looking to build on previous experience, we provide comprehensive training and mentorship to help you grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing financial statements, tax returns (both Business, and Personal), and other accounting documents
• Support bookkeeping, payroll, and other general accounting tasks
• Reconcile client accounts and assist with various accounting projects
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries
• Collaborate with senior team members on tax filings, and financial reporting
• Learn and apply industry best practices and accounting software (QuickBooks, Lacerte, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a related field, or recent graduate
• No prior experience required
• A strong willingness to learn and grow in the accounting profession
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is a plus
